A Benefit for RugMark to Help End Child Labor

RugMark, a grant recipient of RSF and an organization featured in the recent issue of our newsletter, is one of the world’s first independent labor monitoring organizations that builds awareness about the beauty of rugs made without child exploitation.

A benefit for RugMark will take place at on Wednesday, September 13, 2006, from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Restoration Timber, 150 De Haro Street in San

Funds will be raised through a raffle of certified child-labor-free rugs. All proceeds will support Rugmark’s ongoing work to eliminate child labor from
the handmade rug industry and to offer educational opportunities to children in India, Pakistan and Nepal.
