RSF has long supported this holistic approach to medicine which is just part of the legacy of Rudolf Steiner’s visionary teachings. In the early 1920’s, in collaboration with Dr. Ita Wegman, Rudolf Steiner researched a comprehensive, human-centered, holistic approach to health and illness that treats the patient as an integrated individual being of body, soul, and spirit, instead of simply treating the disease or symptom in isolation. Their approach is known as anthroposophical medicine. For more information, please visit www.artemesia.net and www.paam.net .
(The New Medicine is hosted by the late Dana Reeve and the show is dedicated to her. Most of you probably already know the sad news that Ms. Reeve died of lung cancer on March 6, a few months after taping her contribution to The New Medicine. Hosting the show was one of the last public projects that Dana Reeve undertook. She taped her on camera segments in November 2005 at a time when she was between treatments. She was hopeful about her future.)
