Lending Associate
RSF Social Finance seeks to hire a Lending Associate who aspires to apply his/her significant professional experience, creative capacity, commercial lending expertise and deep relationship skills to support a social mission dedicated to a more just and sustainable world.
The Lending Associate is responsible for providing credit analysis support to senior members of the Lending Team in the areas of loan origination, financial structuring, due diligence recommendation of financings for approval, and ongoing relationship management responsibilities. This position reports to the Senior Lending Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide research and financial analysis for new loan inquiries.
- Collect due diligence items from potential borrowers as needed in the underwriting process.
- Manage the loan review, due diligence, structuring, approval and coordinated closing activity for a small portfolio of assigned loans.
- Participate in weekly credit committee meetings.
- Manage needed roll-overs and loan amendments including loan increases for existing
- clients.
- Provide analysis on regular financial reporting submitted by existing clients.
- Review borrowing base certificates and disbursement requests for correctness and compliance with loan terms.
- Conduct portfolio reviews as needed per risk management guidelines.
- Provide good customer service to clients.
- Contribute to the development of market research.
- Provide support to loan documentation and servicing processes as needed.
Desired Qualifications, Experience & Education
- An undergraduate degree is required, preferably in Business Administration or Finance.
- Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant demonstrable professional work experience, including the interpretation of financial statements and/or credit analysis and loan underwriting.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to produce credit memorandums for approval, articulate RSF’s lending philosophy and loan products, and the ability to converse by telephone with potential and existing clients.
- A solid grasp of for-profit and non-profit accounting and basic financial statement analysis.
- The ability to effectively use standard business software such as Microsoft Office; and to use the Internet for research and information-gathering.
- Willingness to travel nationally for client and site visits.
- The ability to use a computer for extended periods of time up to 8 hours per day;

Staff Accountant
RSF Social Finance seeks to hire a full-time Staff Accountant who aspires to apply his or her creative capacity, skills, and experience to support a social mission dedicated to a more just and sustainable world. The Staff Accountant provides accounting support to the organization, focusing on a high standard of general ledger reconciliation and managing payments to suppliers. This position reports to the Senior Accountant
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensuring completion (including all posting) and maintenance (including reconciliation) of assigned General Ledger accounts to an agreed schedule for production of monthly management and year end reporting.
- Assisting in month end closing with timely and accurate posting of adjusting entries and reconciliation of key GL accounts as requested by Senior Accountant.
- Monitoring accounts receivable and ensure all applicable costs are recharged to clients and paid promptly.
- Assisting in the upload of transactions to CAM LLC and donor funds and supporting the Senior Accountant in reconciling between custody accounts and fund reporting.
- Preparing check payments for approved AP invoices, loan funding or grants.
- Reviewing and prepares payments for approved staff expense claims
- Preparing recharges of staff time to Advisory Support Fund from approved Time Logs
- Recording entries and preparing payments for interest and other investor disbursements at quarter end.
- Supporting quarter end statement production process as required.
- Assisting in preparation of year end audit schedules as required.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the Senior Accountant that are within the scope of currently assigned duties and the incumbent’s related work experience.
Desired Qualifications, Experience & Education
- An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of demonstrable experience functioning as an accounting professional.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
- Good knowledge of accounting processes, management of accounting operations, internal controls, generally accepted accounting principles, financial reporting and taxation rules, regulations and appropriate practices.
- The ability to accurately prepare and interpret financial data.
- The ability to effectively use standard business software such as Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrable experience providing direct accounting support in a multi-funded environment with nonprofit experience preferred.
- The ability to effectively use a computer and telephone to conduct business.
- The ability to read and compose documents so that their intent is easily understood.
Compensation
RSF offers a competitive compensation package that includes employer-paid medical, dental, vision, and long-term disability insurance, along with a retirement savings plan. We offer a starting salary range of $50,000 to $55,000 per annum depending on qualifications.
